Workshop on Training the field of Computer and Information Technology in English

Attending the workshop, there were Assoc. Prof. Hoang Van Hien, Rector; Assoc. Prof. Tran Ngoc Tuyen, Head of Office for Undergraduate Education; Assoc. Prof. Hoang Quang, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology together with the staff and lecturers of the Faculty of Information Technology and the leading representatives of Hue University of Sciences.

Addressing at the workshop, Assoc. Prof. Hoang Van Hien affirmed that this was the first workshop organized at Hue University of Sciences concerning the training in English with the hope in the university’s improvement and international integration.

The workshop is under the project on teaching and learning foreign language in the national educational system in the period 2008 – 2020, approved by the Government and the Government additionally approved the project on teaching and learning foreign language in the national educational system in the period 2017 – 2025 with many important contents that Hue University had implemented. Especially from 2018, the university members directly participated in the project.

The workshop got the positive attention and received the useful idea contributions from the participants. Besides the introductory report, there were 4 presentations on the review of the trend and the prosperity of training in English at the Faculty of Information Technology, Hue University of Sciences; solutions to student enrolment, training operation and evaluation of credit training in English; difficulties in teaching in English of lecturers and students of the Faculty of Information Technology and some solutions, etc.

The discussion was interesting and open, contributing to the success of the workshop.
