The Architecture Festival in University of Sciences

The Festival included a range of activities such as exhibition, workshop, game show, gala night and other exchange activities to connect enterprises with students, which create the good environment for HUSC partners to popularize their images, exchange information and learn each other. It was also an opportunity for Faculty of Architecture, HUSC to express the appreciation with their partners, various Departments who have had cooperation and support for Faculty of Architecture in recent years.

In the morning of April 25, the event attracted a lot of students and visitors to participate in promotional activities on construction materials, new technologies, job recruitment, and design and architecture exhibition, sketch pictures; photo exhibition with the participation of students from Faculty of Architecture, University of Sciences University of Agriculture and Forestry and University of Arts, Hue University. The winning designs are quality ones voted by the Council including high social meaning works such as bus station designs, public restrooms, flood-prevention houses. The Organizing Committee of the “Architecture Festival” also held a workshop on “Architecture, Material and Construction Technology" as a chance for sponsors and architectural enterprises to introduce their new technology products as well as share their experience in design, construction, recruitment and employment with a large number of students.

 

In the afternoon of April 25, the Game show named “Finding the Vietnamese Architecture History” was held with the participation of large number of students.  This is a useful game show for students to learn about the history of Vietnamese architecture by answering questions, quick responding and expressing their talents before the Jury. The jury consisted of prestigious members invited from specialized agencies in the field of history and architectural conservation in Hue City.

The Gala Night of Architecture Festival took place with several special art performances bearing the color of Architecture. Attending the event there were Mr. Phan Thien Dinh, Vice-Chairman of Thua Thien Hue Provincial People’s Committee;  Assoc.Prof. Hoang Van Hien, Rector of HUSC and lecturers, students, representatives of Partners and sponsors in Thua Thien Hue province.
