MOU signing ceremony and opening ceremony of the Student Exchange Program between Hue University of Sciences and Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University, Thailand
On March 25, 2025, the University of Sciences, Hue University, hosted the official signing ceremony of a renewed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University (BSRU), Thailand. The event also marked the official opening of the student exchange program between the two universities.
Attending the ceremony from Hue University of Sciences, there were Dr. Bui Quang Vu, Party Secretary and Chairman of the University Council; Assoc. Prof. Vo Thanh Tung, Rector; Dr. Phan Tuan Anh, Vice Rector; Dr. Tran Thanh Luong, Head of the Undergraduate Training and Student Affairs Office; M.A. Tran Thi Ha Trang, Secretary of the Youth Union; Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Thi Ai Nhung from the Faculty of Chemistry; Assoc. Prof. Tran Anh Tuan from the Faculty of Environmental Science; M.A. Nguyen Hoang Linh from the Faculty of History, along with other lecturers and students.
In his address, Assoc. Prof. Vo Thanh Tung emphasized the importance of renewing the MOU, reaffirming the strong partnership between the two institutions over the past decade. The collaboration has provided opportunities for faculty and students to exchange knowledge and learn from each other, contributing to the educational development of both universities.
Within the framework of this cooperation, the student exchange program has been conducted from March 24 to April 2, 2025. The program features a wide range of activities, including Vietnamese language classes and visits to important historical and cultural landmarks in Hue such as the Imperial Citadel, Tu Duc and Khai Dinh Tombs, Thien Mu Pagoda, Phuoc Tich Ancient Village, and Thanh Tien Traditional Craft Village. Students also participated in cultural exchange activities such as flashmob dance competitions, musical performances, and a seminar on urban environmental issues in Hue.
The signing ceremony and the program’s opening marked a significant step in strengthening educational cooperation between the two institutions, aiming to enhance training quality, expand exchange programs, and promote sustainable development. Representatives from both universities expressed a desire to further expand collaborative activities in the future, offering more opportunities for learning and research for students and faculty.
The signing of the MOU and the launch of the exchange program represent a significant milestone in the academic cooperation between the two universities. The collaboration aims to enhance the quality of education, expand the scope of bilateral engagement, and promote sustainable development. Both institutions expressed a strong mutual desire to further expand their partnership, thereby creating more opportunities for academic and research collaboration among students and faculty.
