The product series “Patterns on Nine Dynastic Urns” by M.Arch. Pham Dang Nhat Thai, won the Second Prize in the 2023 Provincial Handicraft Design Competition in Thua Thien Hue Province

Based on the evaluation criteria including four main elements: cultural value, feasibility, creativity-uniqueness, and aesthetics, the Contest Committee has unanimously decided to select products that meet the proposed criteria.

There were 57 units and individuals with a total of 124 designs, products and product sets divided into 04 groups participating in the competition. The judging panel carried out the final scoring to choose products/product sets that received high scores..

As a result, in the 2023 contest for handicraft and fine arts product design, there were 16 awarded products/product sets, including 01 first prize, 02 second prizes, 03 third prizes, and 10 encouragement prizes.

Specially, the product series “Patterns on Nine Dynastic Urns” by M.Arch Pham Dang Nhat Thai, won the Second Prize in the 2023 Provincial Handicraft Design Competition in Thua Thien Hue Province. This work promotes the value of images on the Nine Dynastic Urns combined with by the vibrant Hue five-color palette on the traditional Do paper, and employed the color-padding technique from the folk paintings of Sình village. Together, they have crafted a souvenir product collection that bears the distinct imprint of Hue.
