Meeting with the representatives of Nikko company under Mitani Sangyo Co. Ltd.

Attending the meeting, there were also Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Truong Tho, Head of Office for Science – Technology & International Relations; Assoc. Prof. Hoang Cong Tin, Dean of Environmental Science Faculty; Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Tung, Dean of Architecture Faculty and lecturer of Chemistry Faculty.

Hue University of Sciences signed the MOU with Mitani Sangyo Co. Ltd. in 2020. To implement the terms and contents of the cooperation mentioned in the MOU, Mrs. Mitani Akiko, General Director of Nikko company had the discussion about the student recruitment to work at Nikko company, Japan.

Nikko Company was founded in 1908 and currently has its headquarters in Tokyo. The company has a long history and specializes in functional ceramic products and home environment equipment. The company’s representative specifically presented Johkasou, the producer of tanks, and Nikko’s comprehensive water treatment service. The company has collaboration with businesses in Vietnam and the United Arab Emirates to contribute to the improvement of the worldwide water environment. Nikko and Vietnam Water and Environmental Sanitation Company Limited (VESA) have been in partnership to distribute NIKKO’s Johkasou wastewater treatment tanks throughout Vietnam.

In terms of environmental equipment, the company has investigated wastewater treatment tank projects with Thua Thien Hue province.

During the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Vo Thanh Tung, PhD provided information on the university’s training programs in accordance with the commercial, research, and operational needs of Nikko company in Japan. Hopefully, graduate students would be facilitated the best to have the job opportunity at the company.
