The workshop on “The roles of digital transformation and geospatial technology in the industrial 4.0 revolution”

On the November 10 2022, the workshop on “The roles of digital transformation and geospatial technology in the industrial 4.0 revolution” was held by University of Sciences, Hue University.

Attending the workshop were Dr. Bui Quang Vu, Chairman of the Council of HUSC; Dr. Tran Thi Phuong An, Deputy Head, Office for Science-Technology and International Relations; Representatives from different faculties, including Faculty of Geology and Geography; Faculty of Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Material Technology; Faculty of Mathematics; Information Technology, Architecture, lecturers and other delegates from relevant organizations as well.

The objective of workshop is to connect various scientists and researchers in the fields of geospatial technology applications and other new technologies in the University (Faculty of Geography - Geology, Environmental Science, Mathematics, IT, Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Materials Technology, Architecture….). Workshop also discussed about relevant applied research directions with Thua Thien Hue Smart City Monitoring and Controlling Center (IOC), Thua Thien Hue Center for Information Technology (Hue CIT).

There were more than 7 presentations in the workshop, including “The roles of geospatial technology towards digital transformation in the fields of Natural resources and Environment in the industrial 4.0 revolution” by Assoc.Prof. Nguyen Qang Tuan; “Lower-power wireless network used for field monitoring applications by Dr. Nguyen Hai Phong; “The status and demand for GIS application in state management in Thua Thien Hue Province” by Mr. Bui Hoang Minh; “Application of LSDI, GIS, GIS 3D in Thua Thien Hue Province”; “Artificial Intelligence at assisted reproduction” …
