The workshop on “Human resource development in healthcare in Japan and Vietnam”

In the morning of September 6, the workshop “Human resource development in healthcare in Japan and Vietnam” was co-organized with the collaboration between University of Sciences, Hue University (HUSC) and Japanese Social Welfare Corporations.

In the morning of September 6, the workshop “Human resource development in healthcare in Japan and Vietnam” was co-organized with the collaboration between University of Sciences, Hue University (HUSC) and Japanese Social Welfare Corporations.

Attending the workshop, there were Dr. Phan Tuan Anh, Vice-Rector of HUSC, Representative of Hue Psychiatric Hospital, Representative of Center for Social Work and Child Protection Fund, Department of Labor – Invalids and Social Affairs, Thua Thien Hue Province; the Faculty of Japanese language and culture, University of Foreign Languages and International Studies, Hue University; Enjoyable English Center, lecturers and students from faculty of Sociology and Social Work, HUSC and delegates from Japan.

MOU between HUSC and Japanese Social Welfare Corporations was signed in September 2000. The goal of MOU is to enhance and seek the cooperation opportunities with different stakeholders in Vietnam, particularly those in Hue. This will promote the collaboration between HUSC and enterprises, which contribute to enhancing the quality of human resources in the field of healthcare as well as create a network in training and development of human resources equipped with professional qualifications and meeting international standards.

The workshop was considered as a chance for the delegates to share and exchange information on the topic “Human resource development in healthcare in Japan and Vietnam” to gain common understanding and find out solutions for human resources development.

At the workshop, 3 reports were presented, including “Policies trend and practical situations on Vietnamese labors working in Japan” by Prof.  Ryuhei Sano, Hosei University; “Policies and human resource on healthcare and social services in Vietnam” by Truong Thi Yen, lecturer of HUSC; “Cooperation experience in the field of labor and employment with Japanese partners” by representative of Department of Labor-Invalids and Social Affairs.

In addition, the published book and program “Social Care in Japan” (the third course) were also introduced at the workshop.

In the afternoon, an online meeting was held for candidates to register for the "Social Care in Japan" training program and the delegation visited Hue Psychiatric Hospital and Center for Social Work and Child Protection Fund, Thua Thie Hue Province.
